pattie63 Posted April 26, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Sorry, don't have an answer to that question but if you are considering buying, and you're going to use the equipment in the future, check out www.leisurepro.com. They've got some reasonably priced snorkelling packages (mask, fins, snorkel - basic = $49) and other equipt. Fast shipping. I see you're from NJ -- Leisure Pro is on 18th Street in Manhattan if you happen to go into NYC. It's always best to make sure you have a snug fit on your mask so you might want to consider trying on mask before you buy. Rare geoherb Posted April 26, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 The rental equipment is better than the $8 Kmart kids snorkels. We bought our own masks and snorkels at a local sporting goods store because I wanted a good fit. We used Captain Marvin's fins on the Stingray City excursion in Grand Cayman and snorkeled without fins on Princess Cays and at Chankanaab in Cozumel. GloriaF Posted April 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Where are you going to snorkel? In Hawaii "Snorkel Bob's" will rent to you on one ilsand and you can turn it in on another -- at very reasonable prices. There may be other companies that do this in other areas also. We pack some smaller masks and a "disposable" snorkel we got from a tour in Cancun when we cruise just to avoid the bulk and weight of the better equipment.
