I'm booked on Ecstasy at the end of April and would love to know if anyone has sailed fairly recently on both the Fantasy and the Ecstasy and would be willing to do a comparison of the two ships. I suppose that with Ecstasy replacing Fantasy in Charleston that others would like to see this too. Thanks in advance!

I am one of those who would like to know- we sail behind you in May. Having sailed Fantasy several times, I'm looking forward to exploring the differences. In case you don't get an adequate response, I hope you will consider posting your findings when you return.

Best of luck, and smooth sailing,

Liz

I have sailed on both, many years apart though. Both are "Fantasy" class ships and the Fantasy was the first of the class. The Ecstasy has had the welded on balconies so it does offer balcony cabins without going to suite class. Both ships have the same basic layout in that the cabins are in the same place, the casino, dining rooms, embarkation/disembarkation, Theatre, etc are also where they would be on the Fantasy.

Names of places are different, some of the venues offer different things and the Lido may have small changes but will be basically the same with the bar at the back, pizza and deli, offering on both sides, pools, etc.

If you were at home on the Fantasy it will be like coming back on the Ecstasy... if you were hoping for a new experience... well book a balcony!

We will be on the Ecstasy soon!

Thanks everyone for the responses! We sailed on the Paradise at the end of October and were surprised that it did not have some of the upgrades that the Fantasy had (pool area and water park mainly). Just wasn't sure if Ecstasy had the water park or not....
