Im wondering....we are travelling on the EScape VIA Casino at Sea..and we have 9:30 boarding on our passes?...that may be why you couldn't get onboard before 12:30?...are the Vibe passes $100 for a couple? just wondering...we had POSH passes on the Epic and they were awesome.

Your 9:30am is not a boarding time but a check-in arrival time and even that is just a suggestion that is not enforced in any way - anybody can arrive at 9:30am.

You too will have to wait until after 11am (usually boarding starts around 11:30am or even later) just like everyone else, albeit to my understanding CAS guests can usually board right after suite guests, so they are among first ones boarding the ship.

And no, the price is not for couple but per person.

As someone very kindly put it, I have moved on. However, I think that the fairest thing would be a lottery. They could open it up at the 90 day point and allow one entry per cabin with a limit of two requested spaces max. They could pull the winners 30 days prior to sailing. Everyone would have a fair shot, and bad feelings would be spared. It would also give the winner a chance to plan out their cruise a bit more. Just a suggestion. What say you?

How would bad feelings be spared if there was a lottery, when 2 or 3 couples traveling together , and only 1 couple was lucky enough to get passes to Vibe?

Yes we will become gangway runners on our cruise to try for the passes! Could be as funny as Pier runners!

They already did raise the price to $99 pp. instead of raising it more just sell more tickets. The 2 times I've used it, there was never more than 25 people there at a time. Plus they removed the clam shells on Escape so there is more space.

Also, if it's going to be first come first served, make the parties be present to purchase the passes. The guy in line behind us purchased 10 passes for his family and friends who were not yet on the ship. They told him as long as he paid for them it would be fine.

If they are still selling out, than $99 is not high enough. NCL is leaving money on the table. How not like them! Raise it to $200 a week. If they still sell out raise it to $300. Sooner or later the demand will slow and the price can be adjusted accordingly.

I don't think everyone should need to be present, but you should only be able to buy for the cabins linked to your reservation. For example, my wife and I are in one cabin, but our son and daughters are in another cabin. I should be able to buy for both cabins as I'm paying for both.

Note to self: Remember that you do NOT want to start your relaxing vacation by running through the ship to get to Guest Services to maybe get a Vibe pass, but more likely to be disappointed because there are non available.

I guess I'm lucky. When I want action and people watching, it'll be one of the public decks for me. When I want quiet and privacy and sunshine and sea air, I'll chill on my large mini suite balcony.

Life is beautiful.

Life is beautiful! For us it would be a new experience going to Vibe! And I would miss seeing all the chair hogs!

And no we wouldn't be disappointed , but nothing ventured nothing gained. The stress of starting the vacation will be gone with the first drink! LOL
