The 3 tones of the PA when the CD is about to make announcements

 

This. About a year ago I was in Galveston on a Sunday with some friends and we went over to the pier to watch Magic and Navigator of the Seas head out. While we were waiting we heard the PA tones from Magic and we couldn't help smiling :)

I would love to hear the elusive announcement announcing free drinks for all passengers. I have never heard it, but have read about it happening.

 

Sadly, usually in conjunction with a major engineering problem...

 

OOOOOOO i wouldnt mine hearing that too......but ill settle for me opening a beer can......on deck:D

On the ships that have them, standing on the forward deck that fronts the 4J "Walkway view" cabins....sailing on the open ocean (think transatlantic) and hearing absolutely nothing...

#1 - As others have said, the "Ding" you hear the very first time your card gets scanned as you board the ship.

#2 - The sound of your cabin door closing as you enter your cabin for a great night's sleep

#3 - the sound of the ocean - from any peaceful spot on the ship

 

Ahhh - soon, I will hear those sounds again....
