Carnival Miracle

Just curious and would like to hear some opinions about this Ship. This will be the 9th cruise for DH and I. However this time we are bringing DD, DSIL, DGS and DGD for their first cruise. We chose this for a couple reasons, location (we can drive to Long Beach), Ports (we love Mexico) and of course price. I know it's an older and smaller Ship and that's ok. I have heard and read bad and good. Would love to get some of my fellow CC members thoughts.

It's my favorite class ship, and, although the newest, not my favorite as far as decor.

But small? SHe's 88000 GWT. She's huge!

Love the Miracle !

We have sailed her 6x = 63 days onboard, and love the layout, crew etc. The decor didn't bother us. There are lots of areas around the ship for quiet contemplation, people watching, sun bathing, and with 3 pools there's lots of water fun.

We haven't sailed on her since March/April, 2014 (Hawaii Cruise), and I understand that there have been some upgrades since then. We do enjoy the Spirit Class (Miracle, Pride, Spirit & Legend), and have a 14 day Journey's cruise booked for this March aboard the Pride.

Make sure you check out Gatsby's Garden (Deck 3 forward), a great place to sit and read, or sit in one of the port hole windows to watch the sea go by. Also check out Nick & Nora's Steakhouse...well worth the extra $.

Enjoy, and have a great cruise

I have sailed her X3 with a 4th booked in October. Love this ship and it's easy layout. You won't have a Guy's Burger but the Red Frog Pub is a happening place to stay. Allot of people complain about the decor in reality it has never bothered me. The staff and the fact there is a Serenity Pool and bar are also a plus.

The Spirit Class ships like the Miracle offer the greatest ratio of space per person in the public areas. I wish there were more of them. I have sailed the Miracle twice and always get a 4k cabin that sells for close to an interior price. When you select a category 4k cabin between two lifeboats you get some view, doors to open to enjoy fresh air and a cabin the size of a regular balcony cabin with a sofa but without the actual balcony.

I LOVE the Miracle. It is, by far, my favorite ship. It is the only ship that I've been on that, when filled to capacity, hardly ever feels crowded.

The buffet lines (except the WOK) are seldom long and the area has plenty of seating.

There are two main pool areas which leaves lots of prime poolside real estate as well as an aft serenity area with pool.

You can walk from one end of the ship to the other on all decks since there is not a dining room stuck into the middle of the ship. Since there is only one MDR, this is the only place you will find some congestion ...when people are waiting to be let into the dining room.

We just wait until 2-3 minutes after the seating time to head to the MDR to avoid the mob in front of the doors.

The inside public spaces (i.e. casino, dance club, red frog pub etc.) are on decks two and three for easy acess.

The decor is FAB-U-LOUS...and I mean this in the most flamboyant way. I LOVE...LOVE....LOVE it! Its the kind of funky Joe Farcus decor that people either love or hate...nothing in-between.

Of course the staff is the best and have had the best service of all my voyages on the Miracle.

Oh and if you have a chance...in Puerto Vallarta take the hidden beaches tour (I can't remember what it was called...something like dolphins and beaches). It was the most memorable and exhilarating thing I've ever done.

We were on the Miracle in November. It was a huge disappointment. The MDR food was fair at best. The lido buffet was terrible. The beef dishes were tough as my shoe. Although the pizza was terrific. The ship decor looks old and tired. Joe Farcus on steroids. The childrens program was terrific. My two year old grandson loved it. The girls do a good job with the kids.

We just completed our 11th cruise on the Miracle and just love her--and for that matter her sister ships in the Spirit class. Meals are great, the Steakhouse is superb, entertainment is very good and the crew are just excellent with lots of personality and energy.

Enjoy!

I absolutely love the Miracle and will be aboard for the third time in less than 2 weeks! I love the two large mid-ship pools (one with a retractable roof), the Serenity pool aft, the comedians, the casino, the food, the service and everything else! I am so sad that this ship is being transferred to China.

Save your self a week's worth of headaches... The Miracle is a dump, as is the cruise line. I personally will never cruise Carnival again after last weeks experience

You might feel different if you understood banking and the correct use of both credit and debit cards.

Pleas don't lend any weight to "Hartwiksds" negative comments. He has stated on these boards that he's personally out to bankrupt Carnival. He is spewing his poison wherever he can.

Plenty of people love the Miracle and Carnival and, as with any Vacation, it is what you make of it. All Carnival ships are more laid back and more casual than most other lines. It is the "funship". If you are lighthearted and fun-loving people, you will love your voyage on the Miracle.

....and look at the weather report before you sail, and have some empathy when 20% of the workforce calls in sick at check in.

I love all the Spirit class ships and probably won't sail on any others. I've been on Miracle once, Spirit once, and Legend three times. We're going back on Miracle in less than two weeks. Can't wait! :)

I forgot, but as you see in my signature, we're going on Miracle for the third time in November. :)

We just got off the Miracle on Saturday. We had a wonderful time. It was our third time cruising on her. We love this ship and will miss her when she relocates. We really enjoyed hanging out at the Serenity deck. The staff all over the ship were wonderful. We had our first dinner at the Chef's Table and loved it! Fantastic!! We also tried Anytime Dining for the first time. We really enjoyed it. We were usually there for dinner around 5:45, with no wait. If we were here after 7:00 there was a bit of a wait, but not much.

I had the Indian Vegetarian dinner 3 times. Just wonderful. If you like indian food it is a must!

The shows were quite enjoyable. You will have a great time. Just love having two days in PV.

Boarding was a bit cool outside, but I figured it would be so wore my coat, jeans, etc. and was toasty warm. Bring your jacket as well as your shorts and sandals for Mexico. Enjoy!!

We are Spirit Class ship addicts, have done I think 6 cruises between

Legend and Pride (same as Miracle).

Have tried Dream, Liberty, and Freedom and they are just not quite as good.

As others point out, you never feel crowded. and the crews are the very best !

You did well picking Miracle. Enjoy her while you can.

Only been in her once and that was before it even got all the new perks and to this date is still my favourite Carnival class of ship.

I also never felt crowded on this ship only exception was buffet area but that's almost on all ship.

Decor is a bit strange but at least not boring like other lines.

The crew was fantastic.

Have fun

Sea ya

Eric

You again. Don't blame Carnival fur your ignorance in banking. Learn ti read weather reports while you're at it.
