and back to MCO after our cruise. . . .any suggestions? Leaving on a four day cruise in April and will be coming in a few days early to hang out at a hotel near the port I would think it would be less expensive than staying in Orlando that time of year.

MCO to PC if you are going to be in town for a few days a one-way car rental is your best deal; all of the major agencies have offices in PC or Cocoa Beach and offer shuttles to/from the port.

Post cruise the most often suggested shuttle providers are Cocoa Beach shuttle and CorTrans. The ride to MCO from the port takes about an hour and any flight from noon on will be safe.
