Stevero2 Posted January 22, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2016 I have balance issues due to Parkinson's. Does anyone have any experience with any of these aids for balance on a cruise?
az_tchr Posted January 22, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2016 If it is truly rough (an unusual situation that we only experienced south of Cape Horn) none of those would be very helpful. In normal conditions you are probably best using whatever you use at home and try to avoid the crush of people entering the MDR and leaving the theater. Waiting a few minutes at no push of people
Corgis mom Posted January 22, 2016 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2016 I use a hurry cane, but have noticed that rollators are convenient in the buffet. You can put your plate or small tray on the seat, and still have two hands free.
DrivesLikeMario Posted January 22, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2016 My mother used her 4-wheel rollator on cruises and it worked really well despite the state of the seas. I would highly recommend it. The only place she really encountered a problem was in the buffet. There's really no way to push the rolling walker and hold a buffet tray or plate. We always made sure someone was there to carry it for her.
