Hi

Can anyone who has recently been on LOTS answer some or all of my questions?

1. What type of plugs are in stateroom, AU or USA?

2. Are visas required for any of the ports on the South Pacific (10 night) cruise?

3. Where are the smoking areas?

4. What is 'pets at sea'?

5. What tips are not included in pre-paid gratuities?

6 Should tips on LOTS be in AU dollars or US?

7. Can you buy the drinks package one or two days into the cruise?

8. Are most of the cocktails included in the premium drinks package or are a lot a higher price than allowed in the package?

9. Are there drinks waiters in the shows or do you not get drinks at the shows in the evening?

10. Which restaurants/eateries are complimentary on LOTS?

11. If you have MTD and book dinner for 6pm does that apply only to the main dining room? Do you need to book if you eat somewhere else like with Windjammer café or a specialty restaurant? Do you just specify where you are planning to eat when you make the booking?

Thank you in advance :)

Pets at sea - soft toy machine. Same as "build a bear". You chose a soft toy animal, the RCI fill it with stuffing, then you chose an outfit for the soft toy to be dressed in. Then you get a naming certificate. You pay a fee for the soft toy and another fee for the costume.

1. What type of plugs are in stateroom, AU or USA? European 230V AND U.S 110V

3. Where are the smoking areas? The casino and outside, can't remember where since we doesn't smoke.

5. What tips are not included in pre-paid gratuities? Tips for drinks and similar services (optional but appreciated) and roomservice.

9. Are there drinks waiters in the shows or do you not get drinks at the shows in the evening? They will walk around before the show, it's harder to get service during the show.

10. Which restaurants/eateries are complimentary on LOTS? MDR, Windjammer and most items in the solarium café. Some days they will have food by the outdoor pool.

11. If you have MTD and book dinner for 6pm does that apply only to the main dining room? Normally you don't book when you have MTD, but you could if you like.

Do you need to book if you eat somewhere else like with Windjammer café or a specialty restaurant? Windjammer is open for anyone during their opening hours, you can come and go as you want. I would recommend to book specialty restaurant.

We spent 21nts onboard Legend in jan/feb 2015.

Port side of the Pool Deck (Deck 9) if I remember correctly.

No smoking in Casino when cruising from Australia. Only on deck 5 and deck 9 on one side of ship, can't recall if port or starboard. Relax, don't overthink and enjoy!

You can take two 750ml bottles of wine onboard, per stateroom. You can take these bottles (or any others you might purchase onboard) anywhere on the ship with no corkage fees.

Thanks Bob ? Clarea?

looking forward to our cruise ,

trying to decide on drinks package or not ?

Vicki & Steve

If you will be averaging 5-6 cocktails per person, per day, then you would probably break even on the Premium package.

was under the impression that the wine we bring on was for consumption in our cabin only ???????

This has changed - although they haven't updated their website or their ticketing information to reflect this change.

And in relation to your question about taking a bottle of wine bought in the dining room with you elsewhere - I'm not sure that can happen (they usually hold it for you for the next time to come to the dining room). But you can buy bottles of wine in other bars and take it with you.

i would ask your travel agent these questions, that is what they are there for! We just returned from Legend on 10th January - had a wonderful time, you will love it. Our travel agent was great - answered all my questions !!!

Hi

Your questions are well answered but here follows a little more info.

3. Where are the smoking areas?

Starboard side only of the top deck. Not in the Casino.

6 Should tips on LOTS be in AU dollars or US?

Given that stewards could exchange money on board, or use foreign currency when visiting the relative port, it can be a good way to gift the currency you didn't use at the port. ie unspent South Pacific Francs, or Vatu if there is an amount to the value you would like to tip. Two birds as it were.

7. Can you buy the drinks package one or two days into the cruise? - yes

9. Are there drinks waiters in the shows or do you not get drinks at the shows in the evening?

Waiters are there yes.

10. Which restaurants/eateries are complimentary on LOTS?

The main dining room - Romeo and Juliette; The buffet - Windjammer; The cafe - Park Cafe; Sweets and Pastries from Cafe Lattitudes; The barbeque on the top deck - twice during our cruise for paella, and then ribs; Icecream, tea, coffee and juice on the top deck.

11. If you have MTD and book dinner for 6pm does that apply only to the main dining room? Do you need to book if you eat somewhere else like with Windjammer café or a specialty restaurant? Do you just specify where you are planning to eat when you make the booking?

Once you have made your booking in the Romeo and Juliette dining room you can usually just rock up at the same time each night if you let your waiters know that this is your intention. If you plan to eat at one of the specialty restaurants each night then you could just tell the wait staff and they would take care of that. If you mix it up then you will need to book each time.

:)

Have a great trip.

1: US and EU and if you use an au/eu adapter it is much more powerful! My phone, hair straighteners and my own hairdryer charged/worked as exactly at home, the US one was much less powerful, hairdryer half speed, more than 7 mins for straighteners to reach max temp and phone more than 3 hours to fully charge from 5-100%. We had both adapters with us and stuck to the European sockets:)

2: No visas and no need to take passports ashore

3: smoking port side

4: as posted by other

5/6: We tipped in aussie dolars, room attendant, dining waiter, bar waiter etc asked for our pre paid gratuities to be refunded

7: yes but not with less than four days remaining I think

8:didn't pay extra for any cocktails, all appeared to be included in premium pack, you just don't get premium coffee

9: as posted by other

10:all eateries complimentary except Chops Grille and Izumi

11:didnt pre-book any speciality dining before cruise, both restaurants were available and often waiters wondered around the ship asking us if we would like to book. Did both and were great, especially chops grille!
