don't-use-real-name Posted April 24, 2016 #26 Share Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) PBI - West Palm Beach just over twice the distance that it is from MIA to FLL MIA-FLL = 27 miles +/- at Freeway speeds about a half hour MIA-PBI = 66 miles +/- at Freeway speeds about slightly more than an hour * Source Rand McNally maps & AAA recommended travel times. Factor in any weather delays on the day of your port arrival ! The percentages are against you for this battle plan ! "CORRECTION TO MY QUOTE" Upon Review this should have been stated: The percentages are pretty much the same except allow about an half hour to an hour more for this battle plan to be successful. marcanbr Posted April 24, 2016 Author #28 Share Posted April 24, 2016 If you are in line early for self assist, you can easily be in a cab or shuttle by 8:00am. My advice would be to get in line by 6:45am. Again, everyone on the ship will tell you the earliest you can get off is 7:45am, but they started letting us off around 7:15am. We made our 9:25am flight out of MIA with us being in line at 7:00am. Again, I would suggest you get in line by 6:45am to be one of the first off the ship. You will be notified to be at a specific location and time to meet. The Concierge or representative will escort you to the front of line for clearing any Customs & Immigration and off you go . *** Note have walk off baggage with you - you will not have time to look and claim your baggage timely to make that 9:55am flight - you are pushing the envelope to make this work -BUT- with Suite Haven benefits it is doable. Best also with a Priority Affinity program with your airline traveling with TSA Pre-Ck and First or Business Class ! Only glitch would be a late docking; weather related issues or Customs snafu - but with routine docking not a problem to be of concern. Side note what are your ground taxi shuttle arrangements port to airport - you are not going to wing it (that) and do this a the last minute are you ?
