Jewel - MDR dining and speciality reservations

I know this has probably been asked many times before.

 

1) Better to book Chops/Portofino BEFORE the cruise, or wait until you board.

 

2) Anyone have the MDR menus for Southern cruise, St.Thomas, St.Kitts, Aruba, Curacao, 7 day cruise.

 

3) if i wait until I get on board, would they have the MDR menus available to see if there is a night I rather NOT use the MDR and book one of these?

 

4) I noticed no day 1 options. does that indicate it is booked already? I remember other ships it seemed like there were specials rates if you booked first night.

 

Little off my topic, Does Jewel offer the drink card yet offing 'X' number of drinks for a set price?

Unless you need a specific day/time, you can wait to book the specialties...they are rarely full! Yes..they will have menus for your trip!

If you go to a specialty restaurant, they will be able to show you the MDR menus for the cruise.

I agree with the above posters - wait until you are onboard on Sunday and book in-person. Much easier to request window seats, etc. that way. We did the 5 night dining package for $100 and made all of our reservations at one time. Just a heads-up that formal nights were Monday and Friday. You'll have better luck if you go to Chops or Portafino in-person to book vs calling from your stateroom.
