Can anyone advise if the Steam room (s) /Saunas on the Emerald are co-ed or are their separate ones for men vs women? Hubby and I like to take a steam/sauna together so we can relax and chat together but find that not ever place has them available to mixed sexes.

Steam room and dry sauna is located in the bathrooms.

... and those are not co-ed, but as noted the Thermal Suite has "Gentle Steam", "Gentle Sauna", and Aroma Steam rooms that are co-ed, plus the heated loungers. Suite guests get free use, others pay daily or cruise length pass rates.

The Emerald has multiple saunas. The men's and ladies locker rooms in the exercise and spa area have a wood paneled dry sauna and a tiled steam room. They are free to use by anyone but not co-ed. The men's room sauna was re-paneled during the December 2015 dry dock so it was very nice. I don't know if the ladies room sauna was also refurbished.

The Thermal Spa is an extra cost room that has hot beds and three tiled saunas and steam rooms of different temperatures and aromatherapy. These are co-ed. The cost was $99 per person or $139 per couple for the whole cruise on our last cruise. This room is free for suite guests.

Thermal Suite has gone the way of the Enclave. It use to be just $10 a day and averaged less for the full cruise ($39 for 5 day cruise 2 years go) Why are Solo cruisers now charged more to use? The great thing about the Grand class ships is that Steam/Sauna rooms are still FREE (for how long?). If you can afford the extra cost, by all means enjoy it....But the FREE locker room facilities are more than OK.

One of my dislikes of the Regal/Royal class ships is that you don't have that option.
