Cruise from Liverpool

Thinking of booking the Marco Polo from Liverpool to Canada August 2016. I like the itenary but wonder how difficult it will be to travel to the port on August bank holiday Saturday? Traveling from Southampton area ( I know you are thinking why not cruise from Southampton). Any suggestions? Thanks

Trains will be running.

Probably a regular service, but at least a sunday timetable.

 

I certainly wouldn't let that little date complication put me off, especially since it's likely to be a one-off cruise itinerary.

 

Do check out reviews for Marco Polo if you've not sailed her or another C&M ship. She's quite an elderly lady, with fairly basic amenities and not the biggest for crossing the Pond. But she has a loyal following and a very friendly atmosphere.

No way would I cross the Atlantic on that rust bucket. Has terrible reviews. Cheap though:D
