Upgrade to penthouse

My friends and I will be on the Fantasy at the end of February. We had an owner's suite but were offered the opportunity to upgrade to the owner's penthouse. At $187 additional for each of us (4 of us) it seemed like a no brainer. Was the upgrade worth it for those of you that took it? Pros/cons? I'm hoping we will be thrilled with the upgrade.

I'm confused. Are you sure you are asking about the right ship? The Fantasy, according to deck plans, has only two types of suites, the Grand suite on deck 6 and Junior suites (some obstructed). There are no owners or owners penthouse suites. Just wondering.

The 2 penthouses, according to what I was told over the phone, are not on the manifest and therefore are not sold to the public. She said that they are sold as upgrades to previous guests if the penthouses will not be used by Carnival brass or their guests. I was just wondering if others had upgraded and thought it was worth it. My friends and I are going to take a chance and hope for the best.

The Fantasy class does have 2 suites like others have mentioned. They are not advertised. I saw some of one in a Hogan Knows Best episode...you know Hulk Hogan and his then wife Linda and kids.....looked pretty cool.

Also like previously mentioned, depends on the length of the cruise. After all do you really spend that much time in the suite? If it is a 3-4-5 I would say no. It would have to be 7 or more nights to justify it personally for me. Just my opinion.....best of luck and have fun!

Not all Fantasy class still have them. On some, they were converted into Camp Carnival. In fact, they only remain on Fantasy, Elation, and Paradise. If you go to one of the others, to Verandah deck (11) and look aft of the atrium, you will see an area labelled Camp Carnival. that's where the Penthouse/owners suites are/were. EM

we took our Foster daughter on a cruise on the Sensation in the Owners suite last eyar and it was wonderful.. VIP services from the second you check in .. they carry your luggage for you and you bypass all the lines....

They are great rooms -- the dining/bar area alone is bigger than any other Suite.

Take it .. you will NOT regret it.

Actually they are a deck above Camp Carnival. They are still there on the Imagination.

We (DH, me and 2 of our sons) had one of the Owner's Suites on Fantasy. It wasn't a cheap upgrade for us since it was a 7-day cruise, but we're really glad we went for it. We absolutely loved it, from the personal escort at boarding to the large hot tub in the bathroom.
