caseykees Posted January 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2016 Good morning! Cruising to Alaska aboard the Pearl last week of August. Want to book White Pass Summit Excursion directly (cheaper that way). Is it reasonable if we dock at 7am to make the 8:15 train? I would like to possibly do the dog musher sled dog camp later in the day. But I'm worried we wouldn't make this train. That time is offered thru the ship however, so I am thinking we would be OK?? We have never cruised before so not sure how long it takes to get off ship etc.. We are not in a suite or anything so do not have priority disembarking. Thanks Kathy
Rare Coral Posted January 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2016 (edited) Yes - if you dock at 7, you will have no problems making an 8:15 train. There isn't a huge rush to get off the ship at that time. Enjoy your cruise! Edited January 31, 2016 by Coral

Budget Queen Posted February 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2016 You will have no problem making that train. You will need to pick up your tickets at the depot and board your train there. You then have a 15 minute walk to your glacier dog sledding tour. It does depend on your dock, IF you were thinking of returning to your ship, in between. Simple to manage this, if at Ore Dock and a little further from Broadway, but a long walk from the Rail Road dock. There are plenty of eateries right in Skagway to consider, as an alternative.
