Balcony vs Premium Balcony

What is the difference between the Balcony and Premium balcony? Premium is $100 more per person difference for a Coral Princess Panama Cruise. Is it worth it?

Usually it is the location of the stateroom and/or size of the balcony. The rooms are usually identical.

The aft balconies overlooking the wake are premium, and worth it. Don't think I would pay a premium for a regular side balcony.

All balcony cat. cabins have the same interiors, with a few minor exceptions which are noted in "red" on the Princess web site deck plans. The difference between categories is location. The higher the category the better the location as defined by Princess.

 

Examine the deck plans before you select a cabin.

We had a premium balcony on Island mid forward deck 10

The size of the balcony was much larger

For the first time ever though we rarely used the balcony

The more open design on Island seemed to make it seem windier

The premium balcony has always been worth the money to us. We started with the Caribe balcony, then moved to the aft balcony and now suites. What can I say, we love large balconies. This one of the reasons we won't sail Regal or Royal. We love the Grand class ships.
