Veednam's Transit......

I just watched Veendam transit Miraflores Locks and she looked beautiful. What fun to see her in the Canal. It's a pretty day there today.

 

Anyone know when Volendam is scheduled to be in the Panama Canal? I'd love to watch her as well.

Isn't it incredible to watch these live cams? It almost makes you feel like you can touch your friends onboard! Bring them a little bit closer to you than they really are!

Volendam is scheduled to be in the Panama Canal on Oct 11.

Veendam is now proceeding to transit under the Centennial Bridge

(Puente Centarios).

 

It is almost like you were there. :) We did the full transit twice from LA to FLL and next time I think I'd like to do it the other way - FLL to Vancouver. Maybe in 2007.

 

It's nice to see the Panama Canal Authority has finally fixed their cams. For a while there you couldn't get any of the photos or if you did, they were very small. The cam at the Centennial Bridge is new.

 

Oops - now she's gone - that was fast. :D

I had an e-mail from the ship and she will transit Gatun at 3:00 P.M. Eastern Time.

My DH e-mailed and asked 'our friends' to stand at the starboard railing, aft pool so we could try to see them.

 

How fun would that be!!!! I think I'd be squealing!!! :)

 

Sadly........we didn't see them. :(

We watched the Gatun transit but didn't spot 'our friends'. :( We looked and looked but no luck. It was wonderful fun watching the transits. Veendam looked beautiful.....to my eyes. :)
