kp58ny Posted February 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2016 While in Port can anyone tell me if texting is free? ATT wants to charge $30 for calls but did not say anything about receiving text. So excited to go on my first cruise 2/14/16!!!!
bcs819 Posted February 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2016 it depends on what port and what plan you have. If you are docked in Baltimore, have a US plan and the phone says ATT on the upper left, it should be your regular plan. If it changed to Cellular at Sea it is a small fortune, turn it off!!! pohlerbear Posted February 3, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2016 We had FTTF last summer. We arrived at 11 and were in board by 1230. Dropped off our bags, had lunch and was in the pool by 2. Received our luggage and was unpacked before muster. Great experience for us in Baltimore and we will always try to get FTTF.

Heirloom Posted February 3, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2016 We recently did the $30 ATT....unlimited texting, and calls are $ 1.00 per minute. (In port of course). If you need to make a call at sea, Carnival charged $ 2.00 a minute.
thomarvin Posted February 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2016 You could do the social media package for $25 and message people through FB or other social media sites,

How did it help with embarkation?

Depending on the itinerary, Pride is scheduled to dock at 9am or 10am. That is, of course, when it is on time, which is hit or miss.
