Playing Cards

I remember asking when we were on the liberty and weren't given any but we were able to buy a deck for $1 in the casino. Worked for us! The only thing is they only took cash so we had to come back and get them as we weren't carrying any money.

Were these of the same quality as the cards at Guest Services? I find the ones from GS to be somewhat thin / flimsy.

I know that people do not like others to use the buffet area for playing cards, so my question is where can we play cards on the Imagination? Is there a game room? Any suggestions?

I've seen people playing cards in the Atrium when there is nothing else going on there. Also in the ship's library. I'm sure of you look around, you'll find a place to play where there aren't other activities taking place.

Are they still the cards with your ship on them, or just Carnival logo cards?

I didn't get a good look at them, but I think they were just the logo. Not sure where they are now, but she's asleep.

The card room is now one of the kids club houses.

There are tables all over the lido deck, play between meal times.

There are also a few tables on Empress, next to the Shore Excursion desk. Kind of hidden in plain site.

On Celebrity we and several others played bridge in the buffet, aft in the afternoon. It was virtually deserted then and nobody cared. I see no reason people should be disturbed by this. A pox on all their houses!

I don't know what a purser's desk is, but we got a couple packs at Guest Services on the Conquest just a couple of days ago.

The Purser's Desk and the Guest Services Desk are the same thing. While most cruise lines refer to it as the "Guest Services Desk", there are a few that still refer to it as the "Purser's Desk". Have you ever watched "The Love Boat"? Gopher was known as the ship's purser.

I hope we can get some on the Breeze! Even if it means buying them in the casino.

I am making a "cruiseopoly" of our two cruises for the kids. I want to use the cards as the back of our property cards, so the back has the carnival logo (or ship name... whatever is on the back of the cards).
