Escape Balcony View

On the Escape it looks like most balcony's look down on the Waterfront and life boats. From the pictures it looks like the Balcony's toward the front of the ship may have a clear view of the water when looking straight down. Can anyone confirm if that is, indeed, the case?

Only mini-suites with large balcony (cat M6) have clear view down. All others are indented and look down to balconies of said cabins.

No it's not - as I stated, M6s forward on deck 8 have perfect "straight down" view (as also seen in the picture you posted).

What about the other +90% of the balconies? Hence, the word "difficult" as opposed to "impossible". :p

We have been in balconies on decks 12 and 14 on the Escape. From those decks, you could look down and see the lifeboats or rooftop of the Waterfront, but we weren't looking straight down much anyway so that didn't bother us.

 

Our friends were in 14156 on the Escape last week, and IIRC, when they looked straight down from their balcony, they also overlooked the rooftop of the Waterfront...but lifeboats were not there so they didn't have those obstructing their view (we were in 14176 and the first lifeboat was below that room).

If you're in a high balcony, aft of the lifeboats, you really don't even notice that you're not seeing straight down. It's very close to being straight down. The waterfront doesn't seem to stick out that far when you're that high.

Well stated! We were on deck 14 aft and had a beautiful view. Very nice when you are in a gorgeous bay like St Thomas or Tortola. Escape is a beautiful ship. Enjoy:D
