Just a note: You can order any drink imaginable at this bar - you do not have to order from the menu.

Really? On Eclipse in January we watched some poor sap who had NO idea what that bar was all about get refused several requests. When he finally came up with somethingt the bartender would actually make, he was then told he had to pay because he only had Classic. Personally, I loved the WCB but I really felt sorry for this poor fella and his wife.

We were on Eclipse in Oct after the change over from Molecular Bar (our previous favorite) to the WC Bar. They would only make the ten drinks on the menu (3 of which were $3 each...plus 18% gratuity... above the Premium Pkg) I realize they no longer had access to all the ingredients needed to make cocktails from the former Molecular Bar.....but they were not willing to make anything else. BTW, the bar was nearly empty every evening. Sad.

Will be on Reflection in 3 weeks...so will give it another try.

I also doubt this as like the old molecular bar it's all about different drinks and a kind of specialist drinks menu, if they served any kind of drinks it just becomes another bar!

On Equinox they didn't even have all the ingredients to make most of the drinks -

The bartender had a personality bypass. (His name badge says Ivan which we pronounced I-Van and we were duly told off by him and told "NO! Its E-Van" -

Dreary and uninspiring - tried a couple - the Johnnie Walker was nice - the rest we had were too sweet and sugary.

Much nicer ambience and drinks at both the Martini Bar and the Craft Beers bar (forget what its called? Cellar?) .

Thank you so much...just what I was looking for. So if the drinks are $15-18 a piece, not one of these drinks are completely included in the premium package, correct? An additional $3-5 plus gratuity per drink? Just confirming. There are a couple drinks that we will try, but I can't see making that a regular stop for us when martinis are included elsewhere :D

I guess I had a "one off" experience on the Equinox in November. I drank "regular" beer and gimlets and gin and tonics without having any problems.

It seems others have had different experiences. That is the way with Celebrity.

No. These prices are from a cruise (likely in Europe) where the prices INCLUDE gratuity in which case the Premium package limit is $15. Those drinks on a Caribbean cruise will be $13 and fully covered by the Premium package. The $18 cocktails shown here will be $15 in the Caribbean and will incur an extra charge.

Also note that the infusion must be ordered ahead of time to allow the fruits to infuse the bourbon. We ordered ours before the show and drank it after seeing the show and having our dinner.

They're charging for pub grub? Another nail in Celebrity's coffin.

At some point I think Celebrity and some of the other lines are going to have to pick a lane. All-inclusive or normally resort. I like the idea of having small plates one night instead of dinner or maybe a late afternoon snack with a later dinner. I love the idea that the Bistro might be changed to a Sushi, even though I personally do not eat it. I like the variety of specialty restaurants What I do not like is that we already pay to have food included. I can sort of understand some premiums such as the higher-end specialties and charging for something like caviar. However, I do not see paying for a regular alternatives. I personally would like it if the fare was reduced and meals were paid for individually. I know that is never going to happen and many people would disagree. Alternatively, go all-inclusive including alcohol and a

variety of food options. They could model after the Caribbean resorts. They can even still offer club level for the suites and offer higher-end alcohol and food.

We had a completely different experience with Ivan! He made up drinks for us drinks based on our favorites from the menu. We loved him and the drinks. Went every night and met lots of people! I never use sugar (don't like sweets) and found the drinks to be only refreshing. The martini bar is fun but I don't like flavored liquor so I am limited there. Different strokes I guess. Happy cruising!!!

On the Reflection now. World Class opened at 5 the day we boarded for the first time. Love Love Love it. Haven't had a drink off the menu yet. Niksa our bartender has been fabulous coming up with different drinks I would like. Doesn't hurt that his favorite cocktail is a Negroni the same as mine so he understands what I like. Different drinks that have all been perfect. DH happy with drinks he has had from menu and off menu but we are classic cocktail kind of people. Not much into martinis except classic gin martini anyway.

Is the World Class bar in the same location as the Molecular Bar used to be?

Yes, exactly the same. Chairs and tables the same. Different artsy video displays on the back wall on the TV shaped screens.

The big difference is what happens BEHIND the bar. Totally new cocktails and a much smaller menu of options. (7 items within the Premium Beverage Pkg Limit, 3 that exceed it by $2.00 + 18% tip = $2.36 up-charge.)

The last time we sailed on S-class was Eclipse in Oct. They were the first to change over from Molecular Bar to WC Bar. They were struggling with the new special equipment. Very few customers....usually not enough to fill 7 bar stools.

But we will try it on Reflection later this month...since Molecular had been our favorite bar.
