mtquinn Posted February 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2016 We will be in Puerto Rico for a day on NCL, and my husband is a Rewards member. I read somewhere that we could use points at the Marriott. So, we might be able to use the facilities for a small fee? Or points? Not sure, but would love some help. Thanks! ref9 Posted February 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Hi mtquinn: I am a Platinum member with Marriott and I have never heard of using points for a day pass at Marriott resorts. Some resort do offer day pass rates for guests to spend the day but I am not sure if Marriott does this in PR. I will be in PR 1 day prior to our February 20th cruise and staying at the Courtyard and staying 1 day after our cruise at the Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. I can inquire to see if the full service Marriott does offer a day pass rate if you want. It is directly on the beach and the one you would want to use over the Courtyard. Let me know. mtquinn Posted February 10, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted February 10, 2016 We are not Platinum members, but I would appreciate any info on using the facilities. I greatly appreciate it!
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2016 Never heard of being able to use points for a day stay. I would recommend calling the Marriott Rewards Desk to ask about this. Keith
OntarioTraveller Posted February 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2016 We are Marriott rewards members and have booked a stay at LaConcha prior to a cruise using points (40,000points per night). I'm guessing that you would have to book a night's stay to use the facilities for a day. I would be surprised if you could use a lesser number of points for a day pass. Check with the hotel directly or use the Marriott Rewards phone number and get back to us though! Btw, we find LaConcha amazing. We have it booked again for a night before a cruise in 2 weeks. As Rewards members we have been given a late check out complementary. Has anyone booked a room recently in San Juan on points and had to pay a resort fee? We haven't in the past but this time our confirmation says we do.....
Ontario Cruiser Posted February 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2016 We went there the day we were flying out and locked up our luggage for $3.00 per bag and just walked to the back and took the elevator down one level and sat on the lounges and then had lunch. Nobody asked us any questions Ontario Cruiser
