Ali Posted October 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2005 Where do I go on HAL's website to find repositioning cruises? Or, if not on HAL's site, where can I search to find them? Now that I live on the West Coast, I'd like to take advantage of them. Thanks! Ali
Bramcruiser Posted October 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2005 On the HAL website they are not separately identified as "Repositioning Cruises". Look under the heading of "Pacific Northwest" or "Coastal" under Destinations. All the cruises under these two headings are the so-called west coast repositioning cruises with them happening either in April/May or September/October. How I found out about the one I ended up taking was quite by accident. I saw the "Pacific Northwest" heading on the Travelocity website and said to myself that I didn't know they had cruises there. Next thing I know I was hooked. I had to try the reposition.

KAYEF Posted October 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2005 Hi Ali, We're just across town in Gresham! We found ours on a web-cruise marketer.............they have a repositioning area. You would love one like we did if you have three weeks off.........it was 24 days. :) We began in Seattle, went up to Vancouver, down to L.A. (people got on at those ports) then to the Mexican Riviera...........Costa Rica, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Panama Canal and all over the Caribbean. Oh, it was wonderful. We were going to drive up to Seattle, then I got a brainstorm and called and asked how much it would be to fly..........it was only $18. more!! Then, we flew back to Portland from Ft. Lauderdale. That was a Holland America (Oosterdam) cruise. We'd repeat it again........and again.;)
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 9, 2005 #5 Share Posted October 9, 2005 Also check under "Panama Canal" - a couple will be listed there. But be forwarned - spring schedules don't appear to have any changes. - BUT - fall - I just answered another post about the Ryndam and a schedule change. mediawise Posted October 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted October 10, 2005 Try looking on "*****.com". Their database has a listing for repositioning cruises that goes out for at least 12 months. This has been a valuable resources for us as we seek this type of curise. kw
