Ferry in St George

When you get off the ferry in St George what attractions or sites are right there. Also how would you get to Tobacco Bay Beach from there?

It is a couple of blocks to town square from the ferry terminal. St. George is not big so all of it is very walkable. St. George itself is the main attraction. I usually walk to Tobacco Bay, about a 15 minute walk but you can take a taxi, which is pretty inexpensive since the distance is not far, or take the Hop on/off shuttle that started last year and hopefully will be continuing this year.

From around 1.50 - 4.10 in this shows some of the things to see, including Tobacco Bay and the ferry area. All the best, Tony

Tobacco Bay is in St. George? I am on NCL Breakaway and wanted to go here since haven't been to that beach yet. So, I need to take the ferry to St. George and then a taxi to Tobacco Bay? Is that correct? Thank you.

Tobacco Bay is near St George. You could walk to TB, take a taxi, or shuttle/HOHO (if available).

Thank you. So, first I need to take the ferry to St. George, is that correct?

I would get the ferry at the pier I think I remember. Is that correct too?

Once I get off the ferry, I'll have my mom with us so we will take a taxi or hoho.

Thank you very much!

Yes, you would first take the ferry to St George, but buy your Transportation Passes or tokens before boarding the ferry.

Here is a map of the Dockyard. The location of the ferry dock is circled; you will either be at Kings Wharf or Heritage Wharf.

Thank you. Ill be at Kings Warf. When we get off the ship I purchase he ferry pass in tthe little gift shop, is that correct. The. Walk to ferry. Ferry to St. George and taxi to Tobacco Bay Beach. Do you think its worth it? We have never been so thought it would be different or should we just go back to Horseshoe? My family is dh and I, my mom and kids 22, 22 and 18. Thanks.

The transportation passes are sold at the Visitor Information Centers. There are three. One on each of the ship docks. And one near the ferry dock. They are on the map. If you are on Breakaway you will be at Heritage Wharf on the map.

I think St. George is worth it. It is a World Heritage Site. If you go to St. George, Tobacco Bay fits in.

SBtS's answer was posted before the recent announcement about transportation at the Dockyard. As of now tokens are not being sold there and only one day passes are being sold, not the two and three day passes.

You can purchase your transportation passes at the Visitors Information Center windows right as you exit the ship at Kings Wharf, or at the Visitors Information Center building near the ferry pier.

Tobacco Bay isn't the large beautiful beach that Horseshoe Bay is, but sure...if you haven't been there why not try it. And the town of St. George's is certainly worth a visit.

EDIT: I see you're on the Breakaway. The Breakaway docks at Heritage Wharf, not Kings Wharf, so transportation passes are sold inside the cruise terminal building you pass through after you exit the ship, not where I described for Kings Wharf. You can also buy them at the VIC near the ferry dock as I stated.

Does anyone know where The Anthem docks? Heritage Wharf or Kings Wharf? From the map above it doesn't look like there is much a difference anyway.
