Question regarding Disney Cruise deposit

Hi everyone!

We're in the early stages of planning a Disney Cruise for next Spring 2017. We are going to piggyback it on a trip to WDW, but can't put a reservation on WDW until the new rates come up later this year.

However, we're fairly sure we know what week we plan to take our trip and would ideally like to go ahead and place the deposit on the cruise.

I know that Disney Cruise deposits are largely non-refundable inside a certain time period (it seems to be around 75 days for US ports, yes?). However, am I to assume if I cancel before the 75-day countdown, that I can get my deposit refunded?

This will be the first time cruising with the kids, so we're greatly looking forward to it. Thanks!

Correct--until the start of the penalty period, any money you have paid toward the cruise is 100% refundable.

You can view the entire scheme of when penalty periods start at the DCL web site, but yes, for closed loop cruises out of Port Canaveral 75 days is standard on non-holiday cruises of 5 nights or less. 7 night cruises are 90 days.

Suites (concierge rooms) are non-refundable.

Unless you book Concierge, any monies you pay to DCL, if you cancel prior to the Paid in Full date will be returned 100%

Concierge deposit is non-refundable.
