We have done over 40 cruises 2 of them being Alaska. They are by far my favorites. It took me 8 years to convince my wife to the first time.

 

Seattle (Explorer) is the easiest for travel purposes since the Radiance routes are not round trips.

 

That's the route we are looking at. Have you done that particular one before? Any tips for an Alaska newbie would be greatly appreciated.

For the Seattle route we stay right downtown in Seattle so we can walk to the local sites. We go early and spend a couple days in Seattle. We have stayed right on the waterfront at the Edgewater Hotel. 5-6 blocks to Pikes and 7-8 to the Space Needle. Short taxi ride to the pier.
