helensobol Posted February 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2016 So.. I was thinking the pasta bar would be a super safe option for me but then someone said they might have a peanut type sauce. Anyone know if there they have unique sauces?
ready2cruzagain Posted February 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Are you talking about the restaurant Cucina del Capitano for lunch? If so then the sauces are Pomodoro (Tomato Basil), Red Clam Sauce, Bolegnese (Meat) and Alfredo. They do not have a peanut sauce at the Cuncina on the Breeze. Here is a link to the lunch menu http://www.beyondships2.com/uploads/8/2/4/5/8245255/cucina_lunch.pdf They hand you a slip when going to the table, you check off what you want and they bring it to you. We ate there about 10 times on a 14 day cruise for lunch. Edited February 25, 2016 by ready2cruzagain

Schoifmom Posted February 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Sorry to highjack ... but does anyone know if they have gluten-free pasta?
ready2cruzagain Posted February 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) Sorry to highjack ... but does anyone know if they have gluten-free pasta? I know I read somewhere that you can ask for gluten free pasta and they have it. Found the link: http://ericaamber.com/tag/carnival-breeze/ I do know that at the Pizza Pirate if you want gluten free pizza dough, just ask and they will make a gluten free crust. Roscoe13 Posted February 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Sorry to highjack ... but does anyone know if they have gluten-free pasta? Just off the Breeze 3 weeks ago. My wife, who has Celiac disease, ate lunch at the Cucina Del Capitano at least 3 or 4 times. They most definitely do have GF pasta and she was able to eat the Cesar salad, sans croutons, too. It was her favorite for lunch!! We never tried it for dinner as it is an upcharge.
Jenhem31 Posted February 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 26, 2016 Cucina is great on embarkation day. It's always empty as everyone else heads for Guy's or the buffet. Later in the week people discover it and it gets busier.
