Crete - where do we dock?

Hello - I am sailing on Celebrity Constellation in April. One of our port days is Chania (Souda) Crete. We are considering taking a private sailboat that day, and the tour operator has us meeting him at the Old Harbour. I'm trying to figure out where we dock on Celebrity, and how far it will be to the Old Harbour. Any help is very appreciated!

Your ship will dock in Souda port. You will need to get to the town (Chania), which surrounds the old harbour (also called the Venetian harbor).

 

When I was there, you could catch a local bus for 1,50 euro per person that would take you the short distance to Chania (about 4-5 km). The bus stop was very close to the port and the buses ran frequently.

 

Our ship also ran a free shuttle about once an hour, but most mass market lines do not.

 

At the drop off point in Chania, you will have to walk a few blocks to the harbor. Not sure where your meeting spot is, hopefully you can get clear directions or have them send you a Google map showing the meeting point.
