Positive NCL Customer Service

My wife and I are long time Holland America cruisers. For a change of pace we decided to cruise with NCL after a twenty-year absence in anticipation of a 2017 Panama Canal cruise with family and friends. I booked our June Alaska cruise on the Jewel through an on-line agency with no issues. Our forward penthouse was priced the same with NCL but the on-line agency offered a $300 OBC plus the standard four suites perks.

My first good experience with NCL customer service was when I called the Excursions Department. My phone call was answered quickly with maybe a two to three-minute hold time. I made my excursion reservations and while still on the phone with the representative I received an email confirmation of my bookings.

Next good experience was yesterday when I called the Concierge Department to make our Specialty Dining reservations. We are 99 days away from our sail date so I was not sure I could pre-book but I figured I would give it a try. My phone call was answered in less than a minute after a momentary hold time. I provided the representative our reservation number, she confirmed it and said that she would be more than happy to book the dining for us. As she was confirming the locations and times I received an email confirmation.

After reading so many negative reviews/comments about NCL as a whole and especially their customer service, I would say my experience is absolutely positive. I hope this trend continues and look forward to a wonderful cruise on the Jewel. :)

When we first booked last summer blind online because we never sailed NCL we made some mistakes. I called the next day, got through in about a minute, and changed from a spa balcony which would of been a waste for us, to a very large AFT balcony that we can't wait to try. It was quick, easy and rep was friendly.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience. All too often we are easy to complain when something goes wrong, but not to praise when we've had a good experience.

I hope that you thoroughly enjoy your cruise!

We have booked our last 3 NCL cruises through the Casinos at Sea. Our representative (Michelle) has always been wonderful. She explains everything and if we leave a message she gets back to us ASAP. She always sends a confirmation e-mail without delay. I even got upgraded on 2 different occasions when I called her back regarding a price drop.

Whenever I have called the excursions dept, I have had very minimal wait times and my questions were answered promptly. Before they hang up, I am always asked if there is anything else they can do for me.

I have also had to deal with the special needs dept on several occasions due to a nut allergy that I have and handicap needs for my MIL. Again, prompt and courteous service.

And, on every NCL cruise I have been on, the crew have always been very friendly and helpful. So my overall impression of NCL's customer service is fantastic. I too am perplexed by all the negative posting I have read on CC because I have never had any issues.

All of my experiences with customer service and my PCC have been positive. I'm looking forward to it continuing for our 2017 Panama canal cruise. What date is your Panama canal cruise?
