P&O has not served "silver service" the traditional way for many many years and we have cruised with P&O for nearly 20yrs, including Britannia. They used to bring plated main course whether it be meat or fish and then serve vegetables seperately and individually. A couple of years ago P&O decided to do all there meals "plated" like the majority if not all mass market cruise also do.

....and in my opinion, for what it is worth, the plated service has improved things no end. The food is hotter ( no waiting around allowing your meat or fish to get cold whilst your veg are served) and the different veg have been better paired with the specific dish - (however.....recent reports suggest green beans are served with everything.....haven't experienced that yet;)
