Oosterdam is looking tired

So sorry you see the replies as snarky but frankly your post was quite hateful and to folks that have sailed HAL it's incomprehensible that one ship in the fleet could possibly be so totally substandard in every area as you describe.

 

For myself it was difficult to take your review seriously - intended or not the tone was far and away beyond "displeased".

Was on the Oosterdam for 36 days last spring and had a wonderful cruise. Yes, it is time for a dry dock as she was showing some wear but was still very well maintained.

 

As usual the crew spoiled us rotten. As previously mentioned many changes on up coming dry dock including adding New York Pizza at Sea View pool.

 

The most important thing to bring on a cruise is a positive attitude and don't raise the expectation bar so high it can't be reached. Eighteen consecutive Dam cruises and haven't had a bad cruise yet.

 

Every cruiser has different expectations but I'm betting you'll have a great cruise on the MS Oosterdam.

Any day cruising is better than a day at work...except maybe on the recent RCL Anthemn cruise!

Funny to say that the newest balcony furniture I ever has on HAL, was on my O-dam cruise. It was new, black, and just perfect.

 

The Neptune lounge was also great, and the decor of the ship was very engaging.

 

Oh, and it had the best beef wellington of any ship I was on.....
