Ruby, Emerald, Star, or Coral

I was on the maiden voyage in December when she came out of drydock. I thought they fixed all the problems.

  • no internet on the last evening (15 hour outage)
  • I lost my toilet for 3 hours... other cruisers had no toilets for the entire 3 day cruise.
  • some furniture was not assembled.

Yep.... crew was awesome.... although debarkation was confusing as they had conflicting instructions where we needed to sign custom forms. My 9am debarkation was more like 2pm.

We are "old" so we go on the Emerald or Ruby. In the Main Theater we like to sit in the seats down below near the front of the stage. On these two ship we can walk in on deck 5 with NO steps. On some of the other ships you have to go up some steps and back down.

For us, Coral feels about the same as Navigator or Adventure. Better buffet (changes every day unlike RCI), grill/pizza/ice cream available near pool all day long, and indoor pool. Normally we sit in shorts in Lotus pool area on soft loungers and watch the scenery. Pop outside to take pictures. Can't do that on other Princess ships. Similar to Solarium on Navigator, but fully enclosed.
