Took a chance and scored a discount through Casino at Sea

I am cruising the getaway on May 22nd....I have read previous posts in the past about cruisers receiving free cruises and offers from casino at sea.....I am not a huge gambler ...had not even moved up from the lowest level players card.....I thought why not call the casino at sea rep to see if by chance we could get a discount of some type. The man I spoke with was very nice...after looking up our two sailings with NCL one on the Epic and one on the Star he told me I qualified for a 20% discount!!!!! Yay!!!! I was so happy I was going to book regardless so I was so happy that I gave it a try and called!!! I was able to get the free at sea promotions....When all was said and done I booked a mini-suite at a cheaper price than the balcony cabin and received two free at sea promotions plus the $100 casino credit! Just thought I would share my experience for all my CC cruise lovers looking to get a good deal on what I feel is a little known option for those of us who have not played enough to qualify for a free cruise but who love to gamble a bit on the ship!

Thanks for sharing that!! I am going to call as I have a cruise booked for October and am leaving in 34 days to Bahamas. I wonder if they will adjust my cruise that I am going on in 34 days?

You really didn't take a chance really (Verb, 1. take a chance - take a risk in the hope of a favorable outcome), since there was no risk involved. You had nothing to lose and everything to gain from the phone call. That being said, It never hurts to use all that's available to you, when pricing a vacation. Congratulations!

I called this morning and was told to call back after my cruise in April. I have a cruise booked for October. The gentleman stated he would either offer me 20% or if I played like I did my last cruise he would comp me. I was so excited!!
