Flight / embarkation / muster / sailaway timings?

Ours is a fly/cruise, and our flight is due to arrive in Venice approx 1:30. From the port information, it looks as though we're due to sail at about 8pm.

Is muster drill likely to be just before sailaway, or earlier? I'm trying to get an idea of whether we'll have any time for a look around in Venice, or whether we'll need to stay on board once we arrive from the airport.

Either will be fine with us, as we've had a couple of city breaks in Venice, so won't feel we're missing out if we don't have any time to explore. I'm just trying to be super-organised and find out what our options might be! ;)

Bear in mind that if your flight arrives on time at 1.30 (there's no guarantee it won't be late), it'll probably then take a couple of hours to get out of the airport, to the ship and checked in, then to your cabin to drop off your carry ons. So it may be around 3.30 ish by that time, so it may be a bit of a a rush to then get back out again, and get into the heart of venice, and back in time for muster.

As you've been to Venice before, it may be better for you to not have to be rushing around on your first day, and relax on the ship, unpacking and having a nice cuppa or something a bit stronger.

Have a great cruise.

Did this cruise last year and muster time was earlier than 6pm and think it was nearer 4.30pm which is way too early in my opinion as we sailed after 8pm

We dumped hand luggage and went on people mover and water taxi to have a look around and were not back in time unfortunately for the first time ever that we have missed muster but no comeback on us for missing as they do not check your name.

We had never been to Venice and did not want to miss a ride around on water taxi.
