Antonintassie Posted March 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2016 Hi I was hoping for some recent updates from those who have done HK to SNG I understand that Azamara docks at Tien Sa Port for Danang. Does Azamara provide a shuttle service for this stop and is there a charge ? What is the drop-off pickup location in Danang ? Kind Regards Anthony

Kind Regards Anthony In 2013 the shuttle dropped off in the city center area. However, except for the Cham Museum in DaNang, which is well worth a visit, most people opted for trips and tours to Hoi An, China Beach, Marble Mountain, and other sites in the surrounding area. None of these are near the city center. It's a beautiful area, so I would get out of the city most of the time.
Antonintassie Posted March 11, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Thank You We thought we would catch the shuttle to town and hire a taxi for Hoi An and China Beach . I am assuming this is a feasible option based on the limited information I could find on-line .

Grandma Cruising Posted March 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2016 We arranged a private tour too. A group of 12 of us got together through the cruise roll call and booked with Madame Ha of Vietland Discovery and had a great tour to Hoi An and the Marble Mountain. She picked us up at the ship. alfredo1 Posted March 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2016 Hi We were there last December, and there was a shuttle into town where a galaxy of taxi drivers were waiting, all seemingly at agreed fixed prices. We agreed a slightly reduced rate and went to the My Son ruins which are well worth a visit and Hoi An which were enough to fill the day, missing out marble mountain which is too touristy, and the taxi took us back to the ship at the conclusion. There were also taxis at the port but we did not ask about prices there. Many new hotels/casinos along the beach area and I take it you can access the beach also. Enjoy your day. Sanatee Posted March 13, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Hi ...missing out marble mountain which is too touristy, and the taxi took us back to the ship at the conclusion.... We did a private small group tour from the port and stopped at Marble Mountain. But we spent little time in the touristy marble carver shops (where the ship tours spend most of the time). Our guide took us up on the mountain (hill!) to visit the beautiful Buddhist shrines and caves. Marble is very historic, up to and including the US-VietNam war. It is well worth a visit if you minimize time in the shops. The mountain has an elevator to make it more accessible.
