Ferry to St. John

When you look on Google maps the Charlotte Amalie ferry path it shows it doesn't go directly to Cruz Bay. The departure times are inconvenient. Are there other options?

What is a cab fare for 2 to the the other ferry port? How long of a drive is that?

Thanks

You do not want to take the CA ferry as it is very unreliable and can be a very rough ride to Cruz bay. The cruise lines offer a ferry excursion from near the dock too, but would rcommend going on your own, just taxi to the Red Hook ferry and take the 10 min ferry to Cruz. You dock at Havensight and can easily grab a taxi at the pier for the Red Hook ferry terminal, 20 min ride. Round trip cost per person to Cruz Bay is $34, another $7 to Trunk or Cinnamon Bay.

You'll find a few hundred posts on this if you use the search function too...
