Alaska shore excursions

Your cruiseline has a long list of excursions to choose from. That will be a good resource and starting point for you.

Another good resource ... borrow Fodor's book "Alaska ports of call" from your library.

There are also many trip reports in the STICKYs near the top of the page. They are very detailed with info on excursions, DIY options, sights, activities and wonderful photos.

You can also look at the port/town web sites. Just google the town's name followed by visitor information to find those sites. The sites promote local tourism and promote local vendors, and often provide maps, suggested itineraries, and may even send a free visitor guide.

Have fun with your research and planning!
