Caribbean!

Recommended Posts

Hey!

I depart from the UK for my first ever cruise next Saturday! We are doing the southern Caribbean on Serenade.

I wondered if anyone has been recently and could tell me what the weather and sea conditions have been like?

Thank you :)

We are in the middle of dry season. It's hot and dry. However the dry season is usually breeze which keeps it comfortable enough.

Having said that , there are still chances of rain showers passing through occasionally but usuall pass pretty fast.

Because of the breeze time of the year the seas usually have a surface chop, nothing to really move a cruise ship.

It's usually what boaters call ground swell that can make big ships move around but they can be caused from a disturbance in the middle of the Atlantic so it's hard to forecast the swell unless you are a professional weather man.

In the Caribbean we only have two seasons, dry season and rainy season.

Enjoy your cruise
