Promotion for Child when Sailing with One Adult

Has anyone booked a cruise for an adult and child? I would typically pick the UBP for the perk, but I'm not paying $200+ in service charges for an 8yo to have "UBP". I'd happily pay the service charge on the soda plan though. Anyone have any insight on that or encountered that?

You would get soda package for the child

Read the Terms and Conditions of the promo you pick. The link is at the very bottom of the promo page. They tend to hide that info for some odd reason.

The child would automatically get the soda package if you picked UBP as your freebie.

Thanks everyone, was having some difficulty finding that information and I know this situation, 1 adult 1 child, is not the normal arrangement.
