Gaprofitt Posted March 17, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Hey All, Do they tightly enforce this? Check your boarding time upon entry and deny you or is it just a recommendation? Thanks,
cmptrwiz Posted March 17, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Yes enforced! Unlike the email that had suggested times. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
KevInPitt Posted March 17, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Staggered check-in time is now strictly enforced. There is no change to a staggered boarding time. Boarding will always be staggered depending on when the ship is cleared to receive new passengers and guests are invited to board based on their status boarding zone assignment. lizardhowson Posted March 17, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2016 Many, many reports posted here - if you arrive before your designated check-in time, you will be denied entry to the terminal.

OK, reading what you posted - do you think the rules do apply to everyone or the rules do not apply to everyone ? Reading your post, I couldn't figure out what you meant to state. When "Greg" gets to the gate agent and his account pops up on the screen with a later check-in time, the agent will politely ask him to return back outside and go through the whole process again as they are not able to check guests in until their assigned time or later (barring priority status or FTTF of course). sports addict Posted March 18, 2016 #14 Share Posted March 18, 2016 We will be sailing out of Miami in January. How do you go about selecting a boarding time ? Do you need to have the cruise paid for in full or can you select boarding times when you put your deposit down ? Hope someone can clear this up for me. Thanks

I believe that there is a strong possibility that this will happen. I have heard from relatives at other ports that Carnival is really taking this program seriously. sunlite Posted March 18, 2016 #17 Share Posted March 18, 2016 This stinks. I have an ealy flight and arrive at 1030 am but cannot board until 1. Its not like i will have a hotel to hang out at. Not good that Carnival did not make me aware of this as i would have checked in earlier or got a later flight. The all these people who have a hotel get to check the in at 10. Not sitting well with me.

If it is the Vista, you do not have the option of selecting your check in time yet. Other ships, it is on the same page that you complete your on line check in. You select your check in time at the port, not your boarding time.

Rare LMaxwell Posted March 19, 2016 #23 Share Posted March 19, 2016 Most airports have plenty places to sit and wait. Sounds like a quality vacation experience. I have selected the 11:30-12:00PM check in time for my cruise....4 times! Each time I log in to check something on my booking the time is wiped out and I have to select it again. So if I login the week of my cruise will it disappear and I am left with the latest time? Hmmmm. Not impressed.

Guests with Carnival transportation can check-in at their leisure when they arrive at the port, regardless of what their check-in time is.
