doones2 Posted March 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2016 Curious to know if anyone has stayed here and if so, what is your opinion. It looks nice in the pictures and a good price. Pictures can be deceiving.
capriccio Posted March 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2016 This is a popular hotel and the question comes up frequently. Take a look at these recent (in the last 2 months) threads: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2328400 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2307187 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2267895 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2300134
cruisingrightalong Posted March 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2016 We stayed there in February. I used points due to pricing. The rooms are usually ready close to 3 not many are ready early. They will store luggage. There is a shuttle from there to the Bahia Mar on the hour until about 5 p.m. if you want to go to Ft. Lauderdale beach....or walk to the corner near Walgreens and take the $1 Sun Trolley to the beach. It will drop you off a variety of places. Nice hotel and pool. We got an intercoastel room. This put us with watching the traffic. be warned....sometimes there is a boat parked in front of your room. Prices for beverages and food high here. IF you are Gold and above you get the free continental breakfast and can upgrade for $8 to a full breakfast. Hope this helps. Lou
ckrcjr Posted March 19, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 19, 2016 We stayed here before our Princess cruise on 3/6/16. Loved the hotel - staff was very friendly and our room was great. We had an intercoastal view and there was a huge yacht docked in front which took away a lot of the view, but on the other hand it was fun to see it and watch the crew working. We still had a great view. We walked to Total Wine and Publix and got sandwiches and brought them back at ate by the pool - it was great. We took a taxi to the ship the next morning and it was very quick and easy. There were 2 couples in our group and we are going to book this hotel for our cruise next year! We previously had stayed at the Riverside but enjoyed the Hilton more - we took the water taxi up to Las Olas and down to the beach. Great hotel! royalcruz Posted March 21, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2016 I visited my friends in the main building and their room was very nice. I really liked the pool deck too.
