Flow rider and zip line questions

I'll be sailing on the Allure end of May and have some questions regarding the flow rider and the zip line.

For zip line:

Where do you sign up?

When are signups?

Is there a cost to try it out?

How long are you allowed on the flow rider?

For zip line, pretty much same top 2 questions (where and when)?

Just trying to get a feel how it all works.

Thanks

No cost to use the zipline and flowrider.

Sign up at the kiosk right behind the zipline. The Cruise Compass will have the operating hours of the zipline and flowrider. You get a minute or so on the flowrider, and then go to the back of the line.

All waivers can be signed in the my cruises account. If you don't sign up before you can sign waivers once on board at the sports desk. No fees for either, and flow rider is once you fall your done with your turn, unless they allow you to try again if you fell right away.

I wasn't aware there was a sign up, just a queue line. are you talking about the liability waivers?

You can be in the Flowrider as long as you can hold it. If it's your first time, or you don't last much (less than 5 seconds), they'll give you another chance.

But some experimented users stay there for ever, so they are usually asked to leave after 90-120 seconds.

Thanks so much everyone. I actually had already gone in and signed the waivers online, so at this point all I have to do is just watch the compass for the times and just get in line...correct?

I also forgot to ask about the swimming pools. Are they opened at night if the family wants to go for a night time swim? Which ones are opened and when do they close?

Thanks again.

I will add, this varies by time and place. On the last Sea day of the cruise when many people try it for the first time they are keeping the line moving. At times when the lines are short I've seen them let people stay or for 5 minutes or more.

All the pools are closed at night (in my experience anyway). There is usually one hut tub left open each night.

We usually see at least one pool open at night, but I've not checked in the really wee hours.

You still need to visit the area behind the zip line and get a wristband which will show the sports crew that you have signed the waiver.

This is definitely true... at one point it was just my daughter and I and we had the run of the entire flowrider. We could stay there as long as we wanted.

On the last sea day they divided the flowrider in halves and people were only given 30 seconds or so. Lines for each side were probably 5-60 deep. We didn't stick around.

You will still need to stop at the sports desk and get your wristband, I think.
