Raxter54 Posted March 25, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2016 We re sailing on the Freedom next year, and I definitely want to try the Fish & Chips restaurant. For those that have been on the Freedom, what is the best way to get to it? Doesn't look like the elevators go up to it. Looks like maybe some stairs from the buffet leading up to it, or the stairs by the elevators. Any ideas? Thanks!
cruizinisthebest Posted March 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Go all the way back of the lido. The stairs divide with the statue of liberty replica in the middle. Take either sets of stairs, pivot around, walk back. Fish & Chips is up there. Deck 10 aft. My husband went there at least 3 times. It was never crowded and he said it was quite yummy. You have to climb the stairs in the buffet area up to the Fish and Chips place.
dmdiver Posted March 25, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2016 Yep, up the stairs at the back.
freedomcruiser891 Posted March 25, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2016 You can take an elevator actually....use the midship elevator to deck 10 and then go outside behind the big screen tv thing then cut outside around the steakhouse and inside the back part of lido restaurant where fish and chips is. Or just go to back part of lido buffet and take stairs above dessert buffet part. We loved fish and chips but hours are sometimes short so make sure they're open! Earthworm Jim Posted March 25, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2016 I wasn't overly impressed with the actual fish and chips, but I thought the bouillabaisse they had there was terrific! (Well, this was on Conquest but I assume it would be the same on Freedom)
almitra Posted March 26, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2016 Just walked off Freedom 2 weeks ago & went to fish & chips w/my son. Honestly, Long John Silvers was better, so sorry to say. But hey, the sushi was da' bomb!
momonthego17 Posted March 26, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 26, 2016 I love the bouillabaisse and the ceviche was yummy as well! I agree, the actual fish and chips is so-so. Have a great cruise!
SMSACE6 Posted March 26, 2016 #9 Share Posted March 26, 2016 I have found the fish and chips, to be hit or miss, sometimes decent, other times just only ok. Same goes for the fried oysters, but what I always find very good is the calamari fritters. the Bouillabaisse, the watermelon tuna appetizer and the ceviche. Also, the dining area is rarely ever crowded.
smyliecruising Posted March 29, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 29, 2016 We loved the oysters on Conquest and missed fish and chips on the magic. One of the reasons we booked the freedom is so we can have fish N chips and of course Guys:)
