Baltimore Hotels (Embassy)

There actually are two. There's one downtown, several blocks off of the Inner Harbor, and one at the airport. I've stayed at the airport location years ago and it's a typical Embassy Suites. No idea on the downtown location. It looks to be "close" to things, but a block or two in Baltimore can sometimes be a big change in the neighborhood and a lot depends on your comfort level in a potentially less travelled part of an urban area (hard for me to tell from the map).

If you're flying in and just looking for a place to stay, the BWI location will do that, with an airport shuttle. If you're looking to go into the city, that probably wouldn't be my first choice for location, but I just don't know that immediate area very well.

Try looking at visitbaltimore.com. There are a lot of really nice hotels in the Inner Harbor area. Some of them major hotel brands like the Four Seasons, Marriott, Hilton, etc. I've done a staycation at the Kimpton hotel, the Hotel Monaco. It was very nice and quiet but a few blocks from the harbor.

Embassy Suites and other hotels near the airport are fine but are not really close to the city without a car. There is a casino nearby in the Arundel Mills area. It's adjacent to a huge outlet mall and lots of restaurants and a movie theatre. Some of the airport hotel shuttles will take you there. It's best to call and confirm.
