Rental Car Drop Off

We are getting married in San Diego, which is not where we live, and will be renting a car there. We will then drive to Long Beach to spend the night and get on a Carnival ship the next morning. Are there any car rental drop off places at the Port of Los Angeles or are we going to need to drop the car at the airport and then take a taxi to Long Beach to get on the ship. We are renting a car because we will be going from the ship to the Long Beach Airport to fly home after the cruise. Any info regarding this is appreciated.

First, you aren't going to the Port of Los Angeles, right? You are going to Port of Long Beach, where Carnival typically sails from.

You have to look at the various rental companies. Enterprise is great with local offices, other companies a little less, depending on the area. But you could easily find Hertz close to downtown Long Beach.

I would think worst case you would drop at Long Beach airport.

As far as after the cruise and getting to Long Beach airport, cab or shuttle is commonly recommended here.
