I've cruised before but never on Carnival. I'm wondering for those familiar with the Conquest are there must do's/must see's that I should be looking for? We are sailing April 24th for 6 days so want to make the most of it. Our ports are Great Stirrup Cay, Grand Cayman and Amber Cove (Dominican republic). Also wondering about a wine package? Is there anything like this (we did this on Norwegian as a substitute for buying the cheers package) since my fiance' doesn't drink much. Any and all suggestions appreciated!!

I'll be on the Conquest on the 24th too. Check out Guy's Burgers, and Blue Iguana, also I do think there is a wine pacage, but I am not sure about that. On deck 7 or 8 forward there is a door that takes you out on the "Secret" deck.

The wine package is called "Cruise the Vineyards." *********** shows the wines available in the three tiers and the prices for the three and five wine packages. Since your cruise is six nights, you can only get the five wines package. It's not a great savings overall, but it is handy since gratuities are already built in. Here's the direct link: http://www.***********/info/carnival-cruise-lines/wine-packages.php

We were on Conquest in early March and thoroughly enjoyed it. An older ship, but an earnest and friendly crew. One possible tip for you : Sometimes the omelet stations get quite a line. I like fried eggs over omelets, and you can go to the Blue Iguana tostado station (never crowded, although the burrito station may be crowded), they are more than happy to do huevos rancheros or even jut do fried eggs for you. Have a great cruise!

The Alchemy Bar is great. They have an awesome menu of martinis and drinks. Try the martini tasting at this bar. You get to choose 4 half size martinis in the tasting for $17.00. There are 8 choices to choose from. Make sure you try the Pineapple Chipotle martini. It has a hint of heat and tropical taste all in one. As far as a cocktail, I enjoyed the Moscow Mule which is sweet and tart.

The Taste Bar is an area where they serve little appetizer bites from around 5 to 8pm. There are different theme night such as Mexican, Italian, Comfort Food. There are usually 2 items available. I take a plate from the Taste Bar and head over to the Alchemy Bar and enjoy my drink with the Taste Bar appetizers.

The seaday brunches in the MDR have really good breakfast/lunch items such as steak and eggs, and huevos rancheros.

The steakhouse is excellent. I enjoy the cowboy steak on the bone with the spice rub. If you like a spicy/salty taste on your steak, then go for the spice rub.

Conquest is clean, has a great crew and has really good entertainment and food. Enjoy your cruise on Conquest.

The Conquest is one of my favorites! Loved the Steakhouse, Alchemy Bar, and the Blue Iguana Tequila Bar has a killer "house" margarita! We enjoyed the adults-only pool and 2 hot tubs Lido aft. Didn't go to any of the shows because we were happy to listen to music, spend a few dollars in the casino, and just people watch.

Plenty to do and a great crew and ship! Enjoy.

Loved the burgers and fries at Guy's Burgers. If Cee Jay Jones is one of the comedians on your cruise make sure to check out his shows. Also, breakfast in the MDR was head and shoulders better than the buffet and service is very quick.

Enjoy your cruise!

If you like seafood, don't miss the Fish n Chips station one deck up of the rear lido restaurant area. Several choices there including fried fish and oysters plus Ahi Tuna and ceviche.

I thought their Fish n' Chips and fried oysters were just OK, but they also had bouillabaisse there and that was terrific. It's really loaded with seafood.

Blue Iguana on the Lido deck for breakfast burritos is a gem. Not that many seem to know it's there so no line!

There is no Serenity area on the Conquest, however, on Deck 10 mid-ship there are two large areas that have those comfy Serenity area sofas, chairs, and tables. This area on the starboard side is smoking, port side is non-smoking and furniture is placed under the deck 11 overhang so it's shady. Very few people were ever in these areas and I spent a few afternoons stretched out on a sofa reading and eating my lunch.

Don't forget the Deli as a food choice, they have really good sandwiches and hot dogs. The fresh sliced turkey on a country roll and toasted on the panini press was great. My friend had a corned beef/pastrami combo every day and requested double meat which they were happy to provide.

When eating at the buffet, walk to the aft area, it's less crowded. There are three omelet stations set up in the morning plus the Blue Iguana where you can get a yummy Arepa. If you are not a hot breakfast person and love to gamble in the casino early in the morning like I do, there was always a cart set up with juices, coffee and danish.

If you go to the Sea Day brunch, try the Pappardelle pasta, it was delicious and we ate two baskets of fabulous hot popovers!!

We loved the Conquest, the crew was great. We are sailing on her again next May.

Reading this makes me so excited for my next cruise in 84 days! The crew onboard the Conquest has been the best so far. Love the Alchemy Bar, Guy's Burger, the room service chocolate cake, the aft bar, the pizza pirate, and the piano bar. I hope you love it as much as I do!!

We were on Conquest a month ago so we saw the recent changes that had been made.

  • Definitely try the new, free/included BBQ place ("Ol' Fashioned BBQ") that took the place of Fish'n'Chips on Deck 10 midships. It was really good. A lot of people will never find it since last I checked it is not shown on the official deck plans. Meaning: no line, or short lines!

  • The new Seafood Corner in the back is a for-fee seafood eatery. We didn't try it but most reports have been positive.

  • The Pizza Pirate location (Deck 9 Lido, aft) has good pizza and caesar salads 24-7....but between 11 pm and 1 am the menu expands to "Pizza Pirate Plus" and they will also offer beef lasagna (really good) and a rotating menu of meatball hoagies, sausage and peppers or chicken parmesan depending on the night.

  • Don't miss the Sea Day Brunch in the MDR. It was great!

  • Our dinner service in the MDR last month was among the best I've had on ANY cruise or cruise-line. If you have Your Time Dining, see if headwaiter Andy and his crew are available.

We were really pleased with the ship and the crew. Have fun!

We had a terrific time on Conquest this past July. Staff were super friendly and helpful, food was good to great everywhere we ate. We thoroughly enjoyed our waitstaff team in the MDR and I'd say don't miss the brunches when they have them in the MDR. Steakhouse was super on our anniversary night.

That was our first Carnival cruise and only our second cruise ever and we're hooked. We have Valor in a few weeks and this morning I booked a Panama Canal partial transit cruise for April 2018. Now I just gotta figure out how to squeeze something in next year lol.

If you want to eat from the buffet with slightly less crowd, take your food up the stairs from rear of deck 9. This is where the mentioned BBQ is served, deck 10. They also have drink dispensers up there.

This is especially handy to know during embarkation day lunch. Pretty much every table will be occupied downstairs, so just walk up the stairs (not the ones that go to the steakhouse, the other ones) and there are nearly always plenty of tables available up there!

We will be sailing on Conquest in June. It will be my first cruise on Carnival and my wife's second. Can't wait to go sailing again. We have kids ranging from 10-18. What are some of the activities in the kid's club for the younger kids (10 &12)?

I suggest you run a search - you will find many samples of programs from Camp Carnival/Club Ocean (2-11), Circle C (12-14) and Club O2 (15-17). They will not make an exception and allow the 10 year old to join the 12, and u will find that for the 12, the activist start later in the day and run much later into the night. But for both their will be games, parties, video games, scavenger hunts, sports etc
