In an evening in the buffet we found it far easier and quicker to get drinks service than in the MDR, there seem to be more waiters and far less people dining and drinking in the buffet.

On some ships they also have self serve wine/beer vending.

A word of warning ! On the Britannia buffet, I thought I would have a pint of Carling from the self serve machine. Once you start the pump you have a limited time to fill your pint glass. I'm no barman, but I had the glass at 45 degrees, the Carling was "a wee bit lively" and by the time the clock had run out, I ended up with half a lager, half a froth. Best use a waiter, me thinks!

Thought I'd mention that there are no soft drinks available in the buffet, only water. Every other line I've been on had at least free lemonade also no free ice cream on Britannia.

Hat is standard on all P&O ships not just Britannia. Has been ever since I have been cruising.
