the english lady Posted April 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2016 Are beers / wines available to drink with a meal in the buffet, or only in the MDR? (We'll be on Oceana) There will be waiters walking around more than happy to take your order.

terrierjohn Posted April 1, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2016 In an evening in the buffet we found it far easier and quicker to get drinks service than in the MDR, there seem to be more waiters and far less people dining and drinking in the buffet. davecttr Posted April 1, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2016 On some ships they also have self serve wine/beer vending.
Living on a prayer Posted April 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted April 1, 2016 A word of warning ! On the Britannia buffet, I thought I would have a pint of Carling from the self serve machine. Once you start the pump you have a limited time to fill your pint glass. I'm no barman, but I had the glass at 45 degrees, the Carling was "a wee bit lively" and by the time the clock had run out, I ended up with half a lager, half a froth. Best use a waiter, me thinks! Heartlands1 Posted April 6, 2016 #9 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Thought I'd mention that there are no soft drinks available in the buffet, only water. Every other line I've been on had at least free lemonade also no free ice cream on Britannia.
