Aggiecruiser01 Posted April 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2016 I have read many comments/questions on this topic.. but I have a few specific questions. We will stop at Grand Cayman on a cruise during mid- May. It appears that only 2 cruise ships will be at port that day- Carnival which arrives at 8 am (lucky) and ours, Royal Caribbean which arrives at 10:30. We would like to go to Royal Palms for the day but wonder how crowded will it be by the time we get there (around noon-ish). Are 2 cruise ships in port considered a 'crowded day'? Should we go ahead and book a cabana at the Royal Palms to assure a spot?.. or should we be ok just showing up and renting a couple of lounge chairs/umbrella. We have 2 young elementary age kids who will prefer to play in the sand near the ocean and swim. thoughts? thanks :D
cb at sea Posted April 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2016 2 ships is nothing...no worries! Only about 2/3's of a ship actually will go ashore, and not everyone want's to do a beach..and certainly not even a majority will go to the Palms!!! There are so many beach areas with chair/umbrella rentals that it's unnecessary to book an AI!
