Glamourgal Posted April 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Hi, I am going to be on the MSC Divina arriving in Bermuda, Royal Naval Dockyard at 10 PM on Monday April 11th to 13th, depart at 1 PM. Can anyone tell me if the ferry will be running from the Naval Dockyard to Georgetown at that time?
njhorseman Posted April 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2016 My guess is that there will be no service to St. George's yet. The new schedule hasn't been published, but last year it didn't come into effect until late April. They could decide to add some service prior to the published start of the summer schedule, but I wouldn't count on it.
SailBadtheSinner Posted April 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 6, 2016 In 2015, the summer schedule became effective 4/27/15. I would assume that the 2016 summer schedule would become effective on or about 4/26/16. So there is no St George ferry. Taxi, bus, or scooter rental are your options. SailBadtheSinner Posted April 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2016 Darn, I was afraid of that...any suggestions as to which is best...how long is the bus ride?? If you took the route #7 bus from the Dockyard to Hamilton, schedule travel time, 62 minutes; route #10 or # 11 bus from Hamilton to St George, 50 minutes. You could take the ferry from the Dockyard to Hamilton. about 20 minutes travel time plus about a 10 minute walk to the Hamilton bus terminal, and then the bus to St George. Excludes waiting times for the bus and ferry. SBtS
Glamourgal Posted April 6, 2016 Author #6 Share Posted April 6, 2016 :)Thanks so much...this is so helpful!!:) I think I like the ferry to Hamilton and then the bus to St. Georges. We will do this when we have the full day there. The next day I want to take the bus to the sea glass beach and if time to Horseshoe Bay but the ship leaves at 1 PM so there might not be enough time for Horseshoe Bay. Do you think I should pay as I go or get some passes. I will have one full day for St. Georges and then a half day as described above.
