TMLAalum Posted April 16, 2016 #26 Share Posted April 16, 2016 (edited) We keep debating about how to get to hotel. Being that our flight gets in at 7:50am we are afraid of wasting the morning in traffic. I understand your concern. But booking a private transfer with a set price has it's advantages besides convenience! The CDG RER routing is far from "scenic", but our SayShuttle drive through the heart of Paris led us down Champs Elysee, by L'arc de Triomphe, and over a bridge across the Seine-a great re-introduction to Paris for us and a nice overview for the 2 in our group visiting for the first time. Regarding traffic, DH & I opted to take the RER to/from the Eiffel Tower for a 5:30pm visit, while the other four in our group opted for taxi. Luckily, their trip there was fine and they made our admission time to the top with many minutes to spare. On the return, we arrived at our chosen restaurant and waited an hour before the others arrived by cab- much traffic (plus a possibly longer route)! Your hotel will most likely be able to keep your bags in a safe location when you arrive before check-in time.:) Edited April 16, 2016 by TMLAalum
