Rare BermudaBound2014 Posted April 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Having just sailed Divina I have a pretty good handle on what to expect sailing MSC in the USA. Trying to nail down the summer vacation and leaning toward the Orchestra out of Venice. So many of you are experts, I have some specific questions about the differences sailing MSC in Europe over the US. 1) I know there is something about charging for still water at dinner, but there is still self-serve still water at the buffets, correct? Same as Divina, lemonade, iced tea, etc..? 2) Are the drink packages different in Europe? If so, is there a place I can click to do a comparison. 3) It looks like tips are only $6.00 pp/pd in Europe. Is that correct? 4) Any major differences between Musica Class (Orchestra) and Divina? The spa actually looks nicer on Orchestra. I understand the basic differences between a mid sized (90K g/t vs. 130 g/t), but does anything stick out as a major difference between the two ships? 5) Internet packages different? Same? place to check? 6) Casino smoking in Europe? 7) Any adults only areas on Orchestra? 8) Would entertainment be similar to Divina? 9) Anything else I'm missing???? Thanks in advance! :)
kerryincork Posted April 13, 2016 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2016 I believe if you book through US website you will get vouchers for water. You can get all the normal drinks from the buffet. I haven't sailed MSC in US, but there is wine/beer package, premium /regular drinks package as well as buying drinks vouchers on board. I don't know the answers to your other questions. Rare CruiseIreland Posted April 13, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 13, 2016 Lots of info here: http://www.msccruises.ie/en-ie/Homepage.aspx Service charge is €9 pppd, more in suites. There will be more smoking onboard. The all inclusive drinks package is called Allegrissimo and runs at €26 pppd and it's very good value if you like a drink. There will be less facilities on board but some like smaller ships. Enjoy your cruise. Ken
